Getting The Most Out Of Each Day – Day 28 – 30 Days of Earth

When it comes to bringing balance and stability into your world, every sensible Earth person knows that it is a simple equation:  1). Taking an active approach to the doing, 2). Maintaining a positive outlook, and 3). Finding time to just be.

Lets break this down into steps.   An active approach simply means getting things done.  It is making sure each day you check a few things off of your to do list.   Make sure it is a little of both the urgent to-dos and the task that are getting you to your dreams.   Maintaining a positive outlook is merely looking at how you live your life and noticing how your habits and perspectives influence your feelings and actions.   Without a positive outlook the word becomes dark and overwhelming.    Finding time to just be is often challenging for the Earth element, but it is important to be sure that each day you are finding time for you.  Whether it is through meditation, a walk, going to a yoga class or just playing, everyone needs time off for good behavior.

Here are a few tips to get you started on your way to making the best of each day:

  • Plan each day. Planning your day can help you accomplish more and feel more in control of your life. Write a to-do list, putting the most important tasks at the top. Keep a schedule of your daily activities to minimize conflicts and last-minute rushes.
  • Prioritize your tasks. Time-consuming but relatively unimportant tasks can consume a lot of your day. Prioritizing tasks will ensure that you spend your time and energy on those that are truly important to you.
  • Take time to appreciate life and the blessing in your world.   Try ending each day by writing an appreciation and dropping it in a jar on your nightstand.  Over time you will see your jar fill up and begin to let in the giving and abundant world, which we all have access to.
  • Evaluate how you’re spending your time. Keep a diary of everything you do for three days to determine how you’re spending your time. Look for time that can be used more wisely.  We all have those time eaters that just have become habits that could use some refreshing.
  • Take the time you need to do a quality job. Doing work right the first time may take more time upfront, but errors usually result in time spent making corrections, which takes more time overall.
  • Break large, time-consuming task into smaller task.   Work on them for a few minutes at a time.  If you really dread the task spend 10 minutes each day. Once you get started you may find you can finish it.  If you need a break take one – stress and frustration can derail you.
  • Get plenty of sleep, have a healthy diet and exercise regularly. A healthy lifestyle can improve your focus and concentration, which will help improve your efficiency so that you can complete your work in less time.
  • Take time to visual your personal goals and do something to move those goals forward each day.
