30 Days of Fire – Day One

Summer Solstice

Today is the day in the Northern Hemisphere where summer begins as the Sun has reached its farthest point north of the equator.  Summer Solstice is the longest day and shortest night of the year.  The hours of sunlight begin to decrease from this day forward.

The Summer Solstice is celebrated in many traditions and has a deep spiritual significance.  This is time to celebrate the bounty fueled by life-giving solar rays.  It’s also marked as the time to explore passion and desire.  It is a prefect time to let the sun in and cultivate the element of fire in your life.

To kick off Four Elements 30 Day’s of Fire we start by looking at each of the elements and embrace the unique way they flow in each of us.  The elements of Water, Earth, Air and Fire create the fabric of how we experience and see the world.

This meditation offered and designed to enhance your ability to dive deeper into the lessons offered through the element.  As we enter this practice we begin with the simple creative mission of knowing we are each a spiritual being here on earth.

You are worthy.
You are divine.
You are wanted here and you are most definitely not a mistake.
You have your own unique gifts that you need to share with this world.

Read the meditation a few times and then allow yourself time to let the words take life in you minds eye by silently sitting with a gently breath.

Element Meditation:
Welcoming in the 4 Elements

Welcome in Water.
The place of dreams and feelings that creates will and the flow of creation.

Welcome in Air.
The place of the mind and knowledge that creates breath where ideas take form.

Welcome in Earth.
The place of energy that fuels the practical and physical world –the place where service to others thrives.

Welcome in Fire.
The place of passion and creativity the place where unconditional love illuminates our path.

These elements create a sacred circle around life, reminding us of the beauty here on earth, the potential of our spirit, and our human desires.   Balance exists in welcoming in the abundance and gifts of our earthly experience.

Day 17 – 30 Days of Earth – You Can Have It All

Fertile Ground

Do you believe it?   The key to getting your Earth on solid ground is to begin to realize the simple natural truth that all that is need will be provided.   If your element of Earth is out of balance it can be a skeptic.  By becoming more open to accepting to this principle,  you let in the natural abundance of our universe and it will flow to meet you.  As your confidence grows it is easier to become a steward of the earthly realm vs the doer responsible for the practical world.  The moment life becomes about stewardship your purpose becomes more apparent. We come into this world empty-handed, and as a steward of life we live with only our heart as the measuring-stick of our success.

Today is all about the fertile aspect of Earth.  How are you tending to your life and your focus?   How do you describe your world?  Are you focusing on:

  • How much you dislike your job?
  • How little money you have?
  • How trapped you feel in your current situation?
  • How lonely or misunderstood you are?
  • How unhappy you are with your relationship?

Your mind creates your conditions.  Negative thoughts become the seeds you plant which grow to become your world.   To have it all we must shift our focus towards more pleasing experiences and thoughts:

  • I experience and feel loved by those I am in relationship with
  • I ask and receive support with out hesitation
  • I am healthy and balanced in mind, body and soul
  • My world is filled with abundance.  I pay my bills and manage my money wisely
  • I work at a job that I am passionate about it

Notice how these statements make you feel.   The simple act of re-orienting, identifying the positives and counting your blessing creates fertile ground for your life.  Be willing to be surprised!  Tomorrow has yet to be created.

Today take time to celebrate.  Take a walk and breath in the scent of fresh flowers.   Enjoy the new leaves of Spring.  Walk barefoot on a soft bed of grass.  Appreciate that you are part of this world.  Earth is about being in the body and feeling the life force of our planet.   Feel the riches of the Universe all around you, it is here for your enjoyment.

Day 4 – 30 Days of Earth

Stewardship - 30 Days of Earth
“Find your place on the planet. Dig in, and take responsibility from there.”  – Gary Snyder

stew·ard·ship noun: the activity or job of protecting and being responsible for something

Today we focus on the concept of stewardship.    Earth is the element that wants you to provide and serve all creatures.  Earth knows we are all part of one family and what we do in each moment has an impact on generations to come.    When this element is in balance a natural benevolence is present.

One of the core questions that Earth challenges us to ask ourselves is how do we give back?

Now pause here and watch where your mind goes . . . . . . .  What were your immediate thoughts and images?  Did any of your thought about giving back include you?  This is different then someone providing for you – it is more about how you provide for yourself. The self is actually strengthened when we give to ourselves and this allows us to give freely without exhaustion to others.    One of the important things that Earth needs to learn is how to serve others while serving ourselves.

Find a cozy place to sit or lay down.  Support all parts of your body with pillows.  Then read the meditation below a few times and allow yourself time to let the words take life in your minds eye by gently breathing.

Meditation 2:

Today I send an Invitation to my true self to reclaim my Earth balance

I know that this connection will increase

my capacity to manifest and grow my life force.

I am ready to both give and receive.

I am ready to tend and take good care of myself

so I may live life fully in my physical body.

Day 3 – 30 Days of Earth

Heaven Above
“Heaven is under our feet as well as over our heads.” ― Henry David Thoreau, Walden

Earth is filled with abundance and knows there is always enough.   Today we focus on the part of the element of Earth whose purpose is to contribute, manifest and provide equally for all creatures.   In all of the doing, giving and providing we often forget to look up into the heavens and dream.   Earth maybe where we have our feet planted firmly on the ground but how we plant them and what we do with our time has much more to do with how we create and manifest our dreams and destiny.

The Earth element is the place where we can create the calm, balanced state to call on our Higher Self and ask the questions wanting to be asked.    Close your eyes and ask yourself today’s question.  Pay attention to your breath as is enters and leaves your body.    Say the question loud several times and then notice the images and thoughts that float through your mind.   When you are finished, create a personal intention that will support you in creating this in your life.

Today’s question:
“What is it that I desire now?”
